Optical Test Engineer II

📋 Description

• Drive test efforts for optical, optomechanical, and moving subsystems.
• Define test strategy; create procedures; execute tests; analyze data; report results.
• Functional, performance, and environmental tests at subsystem and instrument levels.
• Develop and operate GSE/testbeds for characterization and full-system checks.
• Improve testing methods and tools to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with subsystem, instrument, and spacecraft teams and managers.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in multi-disciplinary env with imaging systems and infrared remote sensing.
• Basic Python or C++ skills.
• Experience with precision optical and mechanical metrology equipment.
• Root cause analysis and data post-processing/test report generation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills.
