  • Build integrated optical and multiphysics simulation frameworks.
  • Model amplifier architectures, gain media, pump geometries, and thermal management.
  • Develop and maintain the digital twin simulation backbone.
  • Integrate experimental data with simulations; perform sensitivity and uncertainty analyses.
  • Collaborate with optical engineers and experimental teams to guide design iteration.
  • Implement surrogate models and optimization workflows to speed simulations.

๐ŸŽฏ Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in optics, computational physics, or related field.
  • Deep understanding of laser/optical systems and their thermal/mechanical interactions.
  • Experience developing multiphysics or digital twins for complex systems.
  • Proficiency with COMSOL, ANSYS, Zemax, FRED, CodeV; Python, MATLAB, C/C++, Git.
  • Scientific approach: validate assumptions, quantify uncertainty, improve fidelity.
  • Ability to translate results across disciplines to inform design decisions.
  • Preferred: Experience with Simulink, Modelica, Simcenter, Twin Builder; HPC (MPI, CUDA).
  • Preferred: Hands-on exposure to laser systems or optomechanical hardware.
