Ophthalmic Technician

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional patient service in person or by phone
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow
• Prepare patients for exams and measure vital signs as needed
• Open and close exam rooms; keep stocked with supplies
• Record data in the EMR as procedures are performed

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of related experience or training
• COA or COT certification preferred but not required
• Proficient with EMR systems
• HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, and ocular medications
