Operations Process Engineer (Vision and Metrology)

📋 Description

• Troubleshoot and diagnose vision systems; develop vision algorithms and PLC/HMI interfaces.
• Develop and test lighting and optics for diverse inspections.
• Validate vision systems for repeatability, tolerance, and measurement uncertainty.
• Prototype and integrate vision systems in industrial environments for reliability.
• Use C++, C#, and/or Python to develop machine vision software.
• Provide on-site support for production, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Eng, CS, or related field.
• 2+ years in fast-paced manufacturing or production development.
• Proficiency with inline quality inspection systems (2D area/linescan, 3D profilometers, X-ray/CT).
• Knowledge of CpK, Alpha and Beta risk, and confusion matrices.
• Strong understanding of lighting and optics; ability to design/test solutions.
• Background working with inline process data via SQL, JMP, Minitab, IBA.
