Role Summary:


The Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving OpenGov’s lifecycle marketing, email marketing and marketing automation strategy. Based in Pune, you will support our global demand generation team by designing, building, and executing high-impact email and lifecycle campaigns and programs that use AI-driven insights to influence pipeline creation, customer engagement, and long-term retention by ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of automation, personalization, and data-driven strategy. You will combine email, in-app messaging, digital advertising, and social channels to deliver seamless experiences that fuel pipeline growth, accelerate adoption, and drive customer expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Lifecycle Strategy & Orchestration

  • Partner with demand gen, sales, design, operations, events and customer success teams to design lifecycle programs that attract, nurture, convert, and grow accounts.

  • Map and optimize touchpoints across acquisition, pipeline creation, conversion, onboarding, adoption, upsell, and cross-sell.

  • Incorporate AI-powered personalization and predictive analytics into lifecycle journeys to improve engagement and conversion.

  • Align nurture and engagement programs with sales plays, pipeline targets, and customer expansion goals.

Campaign Design & Execution

  • Build, launch, and optimize multi-step journeys, automated nurture streams, and dynamic email campaigns.

  • Create and maintain responsive email templates and personalized campaign experiences informed by customer data and AI-driven recommendations.

  • Execute A/B testing for subject lines, templates, and workflows to drive continuous improvement and maximize performance.

Data & Segmentation

  • Leverage behavioral, demographic, and firmographic data to create advanced segmentation and targeted campaigns.

  • Refine lead scoring and handoff processes in partnership with marketing operations and sales.

  • Track and analyze lifecycle performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve conversion and retention.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure compliance with global email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA) and internal data governance standards.

  • Stay current with email and marketing automation best practices, tools, and technologies.

Platform Management

  • Manage and optimize workflows, integrations, and data configurations across platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, and ABM/lifecycle tools.

  • Explore emerging AI and machine-learning applications for campaign orchestration, personalization, and predictive analytics.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, Business Analytics, or equivalent is required

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in B2B/B2G SaaS advertising experience is required, preferably at a high-growth company with an emphasis on account-based marketing at scale

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Marketo (or comparable tools) is required; experience with ABM platforms is a plus.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social advertising platforms is preferred.

  • Goal-driven with a keen interest in search and digital marketing is required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple campaigns with varying objectives simultaneously is required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights are required.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners, are required.

  • Strong writing, grammar, spelling, proofreading, and researching skills are required.
