On Call Substitute Teacher

📋 Description

• Care for children in our play-based care room (ages 2-12) and ensure safety
• Respond to challenging behaviors with empathy and age-appropriate conflict management
• Communicate regularly with parents to share updates and emergencies
• Create curriculum and plan activities for children
• Collect and manage records for families
• Collaborate with teachers and directors to keep a safe, inclusive, and fun environment

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar setting as Lead Teacher
• Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate learning techniques
• Understanding of health, hygiene, and safety standards for children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents
• First Aid and CPR certification (we can support completion prior to start date)
