Oddball is seeking a Fullstack Engineer (React/Rails) to join our remote-first team. In this role you will build and maintain modern web applications using React on the frontend and Ruby on Rails on the backend. You will collaborate with product design and QA to deliver features that delight customers. You will write tests, participate in code reviews, and help with deployment and performance optimization. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with React and Rails, strong JavaScript skills, and a passion for shipping reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Build scalable web applications using React on the frontend and Ruby on Rails on the backend
Develop and maintain APIs and data models
Collaborate with product and design teams to ship features on schedule
Write tests and participate in code reviews
Assist with deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization

Requirements

Strong experience with React and Ruby on Rails
Proficient in JavaScript and Ruby
Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
Familiarity with testing frameworks and CI CD
Excellent communication and ability to work in a remote team

Nice to have

Experience with TypeScript
Knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment tooling
