Observability Engineer

📋 Description

• Deploy, upgrade, and maintain third-party metrics/logging/APM stacks.
• Advanced troubleshooting of Linux performance issues.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized workloads in Kubernetes or Docker.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for developer code in GitLab.
• Support developers deploying and maintaining application servers.
• Create/Update Ansible code for configuration management of third-party applications.
• Create/Update Terraform code for infrastructure management.
• Collaborate with other teams to align observability needs and best practices.
• Act as SME for the Observability stack; answer tool usage questions.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotating weekly.
• Work US-based daytime hours.

🎯 Requirements

• Intermediate-advanced Linux administration (Ubuntu / Debian / CentOS / RHEL).
• Bash / Python scripting.
• OpenStack / VMware virtualization experience.
• Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki; AWS and GCP.
• 2+ years Terraform; 2+ years Ansible.
• 2+ years Kubernetes & Docker.
