About The Role:

Procurement at Notion is about enabling fast, secure, and responsible growth. As Head of Procurement, you’ll build and lead a modern, trusted procurement function that partners across the company to get teams what they need quickly, protect the business with the right controls, and optimize our spend so every dollar advances our mission. You’ll set the strategy, systems, and operating rhythm that make great decisions the default.

What You'll Achieve:

• Build a high‑trust, business‑centric procurement program grounded in clarity, speed, and strong controls

• Own the end‑to‑end source‑to‑PO motion across indirect categories, from vendor intake and RFx to contracting, and purchase orders.

• Stand up simple, auditable policies and approval frameworks that scale globally and meet public‑company readiness

• Establish category strategies and multi‑year savings plans across key spend areas like software, marketing, people systems, and corporate services

• Partner with Legal, Security, Privacy, Finance, and BizTech to streamline intake, due diligence, and risk reviews without slowing teams down

• Implement the right tooling and data for visibility and decision making, including intake, CLM alignment, vendor risk, and spend analytics

• Negotiate high‑impact commercial agreements and renewals, balancing cost, flexibility, and vendor performance

• Hire, develop, and lead a small, mighty team; coach cross‑functional partners on great procurement habits

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• 15+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing with increasing scope and people leadership

• Track record building programs, policies, and dashboards that improved speed, savings, and compliance

• Led complex negotiations for multimillion‑dollar SaaS and services agreements

• Partnered closely with Finance, Legal, Security, and IT to ship cross‑functional processes

• Ability to design and operate a procurement function that is both business‑friendly and audit‑ready at a high‑growth software company or public‑company environment

• Expert commercial judgment and negotiation across SaaS and services agreements

• Systems mindset with hands‑on experience implementing intake, approval, and P2P workflows

• Clear, empathetic communication that builds trust with executives and partners

• Data fluency to model scenarios, size opportunities, and track savings and compliance

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with ZIP, NetSuite, Ironclad, vendor risk, and spend analytics tools

• Global category ownership across AMER, EMEA, and APAC

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $240,000-$280,000 per year.
