The Finance team is a team of ambitious professionals, focused on making the finance process smoother and more efficient. Our team owns and executes accounting, controlling, budgeting and planning, data and financial analysis, treasury and procurement functions.

As our Head of Accounting, you will oversee our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, compliance with relevant regulations, and implementation of effective financial controls. You will lead and manage the accounting department, driving continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. Your role will extend beyond traditional accounting to include providing strategic financial support for new projects and product development. You will play a crucial part in building strong relationships with stakeholders, both inside and outside the company, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the financial health and growth of our company, supporting our business on its growth journey.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting department of >30 professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, and Payroll.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead the accounting aspects of new projects and product development, supporting our business on the growth journey and ensuring relevant accounting treatment.
  • Continuously elevate the efficiency of the accounting department through process improvements and technology integration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, both inside and outside, to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance, transparency and accuracy of financial information.
  • Manage and ensure timely completion of annual audits.
  • Stay abreast of emerging accounting and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant and up-to-date.
  • Core Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus;
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team and lead the financial strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of setting up processes and implementing new initiatives in complex organizational environments;
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
