About the Team

The teamis responsible forbuilding andmaintainingsystems that supportcritical workflows across

NIUM’s operationaland

transactionallifecycles. These applications power key use cases such as

Compliance,

Transaction Monitoring,

Client and Customer Onboarding,

Requests for Information (RFI),

Refunds, and other essential operational processes.

Operating at the intersection ofproduct, engineering, and platform teams, the group focuses on deliveringhigh-quality, user-centric, and white-label

solutionsthat can be customized to meet diverse client needs and regulatory requirements. The team owns end-to-end development with a strong emphasis on

frontendarchitectureand user experience, building modern, performant interfaces using

Next.js and the React ecosystem, backed by

robust APIsdeveloped in

Spring Boot.

About the Role

As part ofSenior Software Engineer(Full Stack – FrontendFocus)inNIUMs core team,you’llhave opportunityto build andmaintainscalable, user-centric web applications that support NIUM’s operational workflows.

You will take ownership of feature development, contribute to API integration and frontend architecture, and helpmaintainhigh standardsfor code quality, testing, performance, and reliable deployments. This role offers strong technical ownership, the opportunity to make a real impact on user-facing systems, and to influence engineering best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, andmaintainscalable web applications usingNext.js and the React.js ecosystem, includingHTML5,CSS, andJavaScript, with backend services built inSpring Boot.

Build frontend developmental ecosystem and lead the engineering team to ensurehigh code quality, reliability, performance, and maintainabilitythrough best practices, code reviews, and technical guidance.

Collaborate closely withProduct ManagersandCrossfunctional teamsto translate business requirements into well-defined technical solutions.

Partner withBackend Engineersto design, define, and documentAPI contractsrequiredfor feature development and system integration.

Manage and overseedeployment lifecycles, includinganalysingand coordinatingdependencies across multiple servicesto ensure smooth and reliable releases.

Contribute to and promotetesting strategies, including unit, integration,end-to-end testing (e.g.,Cypress/Playwright)and QA testing.

Understanding ofDatabases like PostgreSQL and MongoDBis good to have.

Ability to work with AI tools and Agents and offload tasks to them

Requirements

Min 3-5 Yrs experience in frontend development.

Strongfoundational frontend development skills, includingHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience working withREST APIs.

Proficiencyinmodern web frameworkssuch asNext.js and React.js, including libraries in the React ecosystem.

Experience indebugging andoptimizingReact applications,identifyingperformance bottlenecks, and resolving complex frontend issues.

Ability to writeclean, scalable, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.

Hands-on experience withfull-stack development, collaborating with backend teams and understanding API contracts.

Familiarity withend-to-end testing tools(e.g., Cypress, Playwright) and implementing effective testing strategies is a plus.

Ability toleverageconfiguration-driven developmental feedbackto iteratively improve code quality and team workflows.

Strongproblem-solving skillswith the ability toanalyzecomplex workflows and contribute to architectural discussions.

Willingness toembrace feedback, adapt to team workflows, and continuously improvetechnical and communication skillsin a collaborative environment.

Exposure toAI tools or agentsto automate or streamline development tasks is a plus.
