Network Engineer (Starshield)

📋 Description

• Manage and expand interconnections, co-location sites, and POPs
• Manage network infra and deployments to Top Secret datacenters
• Improve network performance using metrics, capacity planning, and remediation
• Assist in capacity augmentation and network optimization deployments
• Lead network integration and troubleshooting efforts
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers on Starshield design
• Update system configuration and firmware
• Build automation for network devices and deployment tools

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline OR 4+ years of professional networking experience deploying enterprise network solutions and/or cloud and web-scale networks in lieu of a degree
• 1+ year of networking experience deploying enterprise network solutions and/or cloud and web-scale networks (internship/co-op experience qualifies)
• Layer-1 experience (e.g., transport, DWDM, optical fiber, circuit troubleshooting)
• Hands-on experience with the deployment of networking hardware (routers, modems, switches, firewalls)
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline
• Experience implementing network security functions

🎁 Benefits

• Pay ranges: Level I $120,000-$145,000; Level II $140,000-$170,000
• Salary determined case-by-case based on knowledge, education, and experience
