Network Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, manage, implement, and troubleshoot AF network solutions for 66 ABG/SC.
• Deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment; handle multiple task streams.
• Plan lifecycle of network environments; review capacity, performance, security.
• Maintain a converged Gigabit Ethernet network infrastructure for 66 ABG/SC and Core Services.
• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot network infra with short timelines; provide support.
• Work on upgrade projects; remedy tickets; routers, switches, IPAM, network mgmt tools; design/integration.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in IT, Mathematics or Computer Science or equivalent plus 8+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer; 4 years may substitute for the degree.
• DoD 8570: CompTIA Security+ (active within last three years) required.
• CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.
• Day-to-day admin of a highly available network infrastructure supporting 5500+ users.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches.
• OSPF, VRF, VRRP, QOS, VLAN, STP, Dot1x, IPsec, ACLs.
• DHCP, NMS - Orion NPM/NCM, Cisco ISE, Wireshark; strong troubleshooting.
