Network Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Train on new topics; create materials.
• Determine methods for new assignments with guidance.
• Provide expert guidance on BGP routing issues.
• Review Change MOPs for approval; escalate as needed.
• Lead complex projects to deadlines under Architect guidance.
• Resolve complex faults using core system knowledge.
• Use network tools to diagnose problems, collect stats, and report.
• Provide improvement reports to specialists, users, managers.
• Support Sales with complex solutions and customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Product Management to explore ideas and integration.
• Lead capacity planning and advocate for upgrades.
• Create capacity reports for leadership.
• Investigate new technologies for the RISE network.
• Design and test network solutions to meet needs or improve efficiency.
• Create documentation to keep solutions supportable.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor project work to meet targets.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years related experience.
• Experience developing procedures and operational design.
• Advanced IP networking knowledge incl MPLS/RSVP for carrier networks (JNCIP level).
• Skills: BGP, MPLS, Network Design, OSPF.
