Job description

Job Title: APAC Distribution and Logistics Specialist

Reporting To: Manager, APAC Distribution and Service Logistics

Location: Singapore

Job Summary: We are looking for a high caliber individual to assist with the management of international logistics, AU DC operations and APAC DCs.

Responsibilities:

· Manage all NETGEAR freight and logistics related activity from and within the APAC region

· Local expert and point of contact for APAC and International freight related enquiries

· Coordinate with customers, ODMs , internal departments and 3PLs on resolving shipping issues

· Manage shipping procedures and document requirements with internal & external stakeholders

· Manage drop shipments from ODM partners to global customer base

· Assist US Headquarter with the annual global freight and logistics RFQ. Provide local APAC support as needed.

· Perform periodic analysis of shipping lanes and rates, and prepare statistical reports to improve overall process

· Maximize freight consolidation efficiency and cost savings

· Prepare logistics reports for management review

· Supervise the activities of the Australian 3PL including but not limited to handling escalations, managing cycle counts, book-to-books and annual physical inventory counts.

· Review aged inventories regularly

· Drive operational and productivity improvements on a continuous basis.

· Ensure SOX compliancy throughout the supply chain.

· Audit monthly invoicing

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

· Needs to be a fast learner and hit the ground running

· Good working knowledge of international shipping, regulations, documentation (for example Letters of Credit) and best practices

· Good working knowledge of incoterms and related requirements

· Good working knowledge of import and export procedures

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Must be able to fluently communicate (spoken and written) in Mandarin and English

· Good problem recognition, analytical, negotiation and resolution skills.

· Creative, Systematic, hard-working, detailed minded & positive attitude

· Must be results oriented and flexible on work hours to get the job done

· Must be able to work effectively in a high volume, fast paced and multi-tasked environment with all levels of management, both internal and external.

· Must be able to work independently and be able to work under pressure.

· Occasional overseas travel is required

Education and Experience:

· Minimum 5years' experience in logistics/distribution industry

· Experience of managing third party logistics providers.

· Working experience in an electronics manufacturing or trading company, preferably an MNC

· Experience and familiarity with Oracle Systems

· Knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of Python/ SQL is a plus

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· Knowledge of Middle East orders, Certificate of Origin and L/C shipments
