Nearsure is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Talent Connection program. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, modeling data, and delivering reliable data insights to support decision making across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources.
• Build and maintain data models, data warehouses, and analytics-ready data sets.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to understand data needs and implement solutions.
• Improve data quality, monitoring, and lineage; implement testing and validation.
• Work with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake/Redshift, AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Instrument data pipelines using modern orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling concepts.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and orchestration tools (Airflow).
• Familiarity with dbt, Spark, or related data transformation frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming data, data governance, and data quality tooling.
• Knowledge of BI tools and SQL-based analytics.
