Role Overview

Nearsure is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Talent Connection team. This is a remote opportunity covering Latin America. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data models, and data infrastructure to enable analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models for data warehouses/lakehouses.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, security, and documentation.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern data tooling (Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark, Snowflake).

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data orchestration (Airflow).
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and modern data stacks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spark/PySpark, Snowflake, PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with streaming data (Kafka) or real-time data pipelines.
