Overview

Nearsure is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote‑first engineering team. This role focuses on building scalable applications using React on the frontend and C#/Java on the backend.

Role

Senior Software Engineer (React & C#/Java). You will contribute to design, develop, and maintain software systems that power our products. This position is remote and aligned with Latin America time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React on the frontend and C#/.NET or Java on the backend
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver features end-to-end
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews
• Contribute to system architecture, API design, and data modeling
• Ensure performance, security, and reliability of applications
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to roadmap planning

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency with React, C#, and Java
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with databases (SQL)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent)
