(1167) Staff iOS/tvOS Engineer

About the role

Nearsure is seeking a Staff iOS/tvOS Engineer for our remote-first mobile team. This position is remote in Latin America and focuses on building high-quality iOS and tvOS applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust iOS and tvOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define and ship features
• Drive architectural decisions, code reviews, and lead best practices across the mobile team
• Write automated tests (unit/UI) and ensure app performance, reliability, and accessibility
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, collaborative engineering culture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of iOS development experience with a strong portfolio of shipped apps
• Proficiency in Swift; experience with Objective-C is a plus
• Experience with tvOS development and App Store submission process
• Strong knowledge of REST/JSON APIs, networking, and modern iOS architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Xcode Cloud)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
