Nearsure is seeking a Senior Data and Insight Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and derive actionable insights that power business decisions. This fully remote role is open to candidates in Latin America.

Role Overview

The Senior Data and Insight Engineer will design and maintain data infrastructure, collaborate with product and analytics teams, and drive data quality and governance to enable data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest data from multiple sources
• Model and optimize data warehouse solutions to support analytics
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to translate business questions into data solutions
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and observability
• Develop dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision making
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering or related experience
• Strong SQL skills; proficiency in Python
• Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow); familiarity with dbt
• Cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau) or analytics platforms
• Experience with streaming data (Kafka) or real-time pipelines

Location: Remote (Latin America). Time zone flexibility is preferred.
