About Nearsure
Nearsure is seeking a Principal Engineer (1147) to lead architectural direction and drive technical excellence across products. This remote role offers the opportunity to shape scalable systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and own scalable distributed systems and architecture
- Mentor and lead engineering teams
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define the technical roadmap
- Establish coding standards, CI/CD practices, and reliability best practices
- Review code and performance optimizations
Qualifications
- Extensive software engineering experience (8+ years)
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
