(1143) Senior DevSecOps

Overview

Nearsure is seeking a Senior DevSecOps professional to lead secure, scalable DevSecOps practices across our cloud environments. This remote-friendly role is open to candidates in Latin America. You will design and implement robust DevSecOps practices, automate security checks, enforce compliance, and help engineering teams deliver high-quality software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and operation of secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
• Build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Manage container orchestration (Kubernetes) and implement runtime security measures
• Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and incident response procedures
• Collaborate with security and development teams to perform threat modeling and remediation
• Automate vulnerability scanning, secret management, and compliance checks
• Mentor junior engineers and drive security best practices across teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience
• Strong experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and container security
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, SAST/DAST, SBOM/SCA
• Scripting in Python or Bash; automation and tooling
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR)
• Experience with IaC security tools (Checkov, tfsec)
• Knowledge of CI/CD security tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
