About the role
Nearsure is seeking a Senior AI Python Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to productionize models, build scalable data pipelines, and deliver robust APIs for model inference. This is a remote position in Latin America.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models and features using Python
- Collaborate with data scientists to translate research into production-ready solutions
- Develop robust APIs and microservices for model inference
- Build and maintain data processing pipelines; ensure data quality and governance
- Monitor performance, reliability, and cost, and iterate on improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python development experience
- Strong background in AI/ML with experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience deploying ML models to production (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases, and version control (Git)
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech or analytics domain
- Experience with MLOps and monitoring tools
