Job Description
Nearsure is seeking a Senior Backend Java Engineer for a remote position open to candidates in Latin America. You will design, develop, and scale backend services using Java, Spring, and microservices architectures.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain Java-based backend services
- Build scalable APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with product, data, and front-end teams
- Improve system reliability, performance, and security
- Write tests and participate in code reviews
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of Java experience (Java 8+)
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate
- Background in microservices and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with SQL databases and data modeling
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
