Perform internal and external inspections to verify weldment acceptance per criteria.
Interpret codes and specifications per drawing requirements.
Compile and submit inspection data and communicate findings.
Verify welder qualifications and base metal compliance.
Monitor GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and PAW processes to ensure procedures.
Oversee NDT examinations, proof, and mechanical testing if required.

🎯 Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency certificate
Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
2+ years of experience as a CWI
Extensive knowledge of ABS, AWS, and ASME standards
Working knowledge of surface and subsurface NDE methodologies
Additional NDT Level II/III certifications in RT/DR/PT/VT/UT/PAUT
