Sr. Director/Director, Software Engineering - Early Cancer Detection (ECD)

📋 Description

• Lead software strategy and development for the ECD portfolio.
• Architect and build scalable SaMD software bridging R&D and commercialization.
• Define multi-year engineering roadmap and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Champion high-agency culture, urgency, and cross-functional delivery.
• Ensure compliance with FDA PMA/510k, IEC 62304, ISO 13485 in SDLC.
• Scale and mentor a high-performing engineering team (Full-Stack, DevOps, Data).

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years software engineering; 5+ years in senior leadership (Director+).
• Proven Zero-to-One product track record; SaMD; FDA design controls; HIPAA/GDPR.
• Cloud-native architectures (AWS); distributed systems; genomic/clinical datasets.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering; PhD a plus.
• Strong Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and test-driven development.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with scientists and executives.
• Experience recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering leaders.
