This is a short-term 1099 contract role (2–3 months, with potential extension).
We’re looking for a highly operational contractor to rebuild our billing processes and systems from the ground up. You’ll own the end-to-end billing process, evaluate tooling options, and drive automation for provider-facing teams so our team can focus on growth.
You’ll also be stepping into a fast-paced environment where billing accuracy, efficiency, and scalability are critical to serving our 500+ providers and supporting continued rapid growth.
This role will sit under our Operations function and will collaborate closely with Finance, Product, and other cross-functional leads to design and implement scalable systems that solve today’s pain points and set us up for the future.
Audit existing billing and collections workflows, surfacing key pain points from internal and external stakeholders.
Design a streamlined, scalable billing process that works for our current client base and adapts as we grow.
Evaluate, select, and implement the right billing tools (e.g., Stripe, Bill.com, custom workflows).
Build automations between CRM, billing, Intercom, and other internal systems to eliminate manual work.
Establish reporting and reconciliation processes in partnership with Finance.
Create clear SOPs and lead training for internal teams to ensure smooth adoption of the new system.
A proven track record in startup operations, finance, or revenue operations.
Experience implementing billing systems at scale, with seamless integrations across company tools.
Hands-on ability to design workflows and execute quickly.
Familiarity with SaaS/subscription billing (bonus: knowledge of professional services billing).
Ability to build easily customized systems that account for unique billing cases.
Strong project management skills and a bias for action.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally to incorporate feedback and shape the best possible solution.
Bonus: experience integrating AI tooling into billing operations, especially for customer support and enablement.
Part-time or full-time contract for 2–3 months (potential extension).
