- Design and develop electromechanical/magnetic systems for Beta's propulsion.
- Architect and analyze magnetic circuits, coil geometries, and materials.
- Collaborate with electrical/controls teams to integrate with power electronics.
- Perform thermal, magnetic, and structural simulations (ANSYS/COMSOL) to predict performance.
- Translate analyses into manufacturable mechanical designs—housings, laminations.
- Define and execute validation/test plans; collect data and iterate designs.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering focused on machine design.
- 5+ years in mechanical/machine design; aerospace/defense or high-precision sectors.
- Experience with magnetic and thermal simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, JMAG).
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic design concepts.
- Experience across mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams; hands-on and iterative.
- Hands-on with test setups, instrumentation, and prototype builds.
