About the Role

We’re seeking a highly analytical and creatively driven Senior Media Strategist to join our fast-paced, high-impact marketing team. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing cross-channel paid media strategies that drive acquisition, engagement, and growth for our brand(s). This role requires deep expertise in media planning and optimization across channels Google O&O and Offnet channels. You’ll lead campaign strategy from ideation through execution, collaborating with creative, analytics, and channel teams to deliver results aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Own end-to-end media strategy across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and emerging platforms.
    • Conduct in-depth competitive research, audience analysis, and media mix modeling to inform strategic direction.
    • Build quarterly media plans and forecasts tied to business KPIs (CAC, ROAS, CPA, LTV).
    • Provide market research and analysis at the channel and audience and share with Google Internal/external teams
    • Compose internal planning and strategy (market + channel learnings) across all channels on a yearly/biannual/quarterly basis
    • Channel and Market forecasting (revenue projections, pre/post sign up)
    • Updates on channel and market level optimization and tactics to be shared with Google Internal, applied by external teams
    • AdHoc marketplace POVs/trends
    • Compose annual and quarterly roadmap briefing for partners based on Google brand guidelines/policy
    • Coordinate with cross-functional Google teams to complete projects via biweekly meetings with partners
    • Provide strategic/tactical decks for initiatives
  • Campaign Execution & Optimization:
    • Oversee campaign setup, QA, and launch across all active channels.
    • Lead ongoing performance analysis and optimization, including creative testing, bid strategy, and audience segmentation.Translate data into insights and iterate based on performance.
  • Cross-functional Leadership:
    • Act as a thought partner to creative, content, analytics, and lifecycle teams to ensure holistic campaign execution.
    • Collaborate with external partners and agencies (if applicable) to scale media efforts.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional Google teams to complete projects via biweekly meetings with partners
      • Biweekly performance review meetings with GMIX
    • Manage team comms with external agency (Media.Monks)
    • Biweekly internal sync with GMIX team
    • 2x meetings per week with PMM
    • Lead all comms/POC for cross-functional teams
    • Provide documents and resources for external teams, act as "unblocker" for team needs
    • Biweekly syncs with external teams (Ladder, ML SEO, MFG Agency, Monks)
  • Creative Management
    • Manage creative repository across all AdMob creatives (old, optimized, and net new)
    • Manage relationship with creative agencies
    • Own and develop creative roadmap
    • Deliver raw files for creative assets to external agency
    • Provide creative level performance reporting/insights to be shared with creative agencies
    • Project manage all partners/comms/projects to completion and delivery
    • Manage data sharing per partner
    • QA and approvals for Google projects (Decider)
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Deliver clear, data-driven performance reports and insights to senior leadership.
    • Leverage platforms like Google Analytics, Looker, and native ad platforms for advanced reporting.
    • Create advanced reports/decks on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis
  • Innovation:
    • Stay ahead of trends in ad tech, consumer behavior, and platform updates.Propose and test new paid channels and technologies to drive incremental growth.
About You The essentials:
  • 4–6+ years of hands-on experience in paid media, preferably in a performance-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of managing 6- to 7-figure monthly ad budgets across multiple platforms.
  • Expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn, and programmatic tools like DV360 or The Trade Desk.
  • Strong analytical mindset; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Looker/Tableau, and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel media strategy and attribution modeling.
  • Strong communication skills; able to clearly present strategy and insights to stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Experience in eCommerce, SaaS, or mobile app marketing (e.g., Google AdMob or UAC).#LI-KW1

What We Offer

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
