About the Role

Monks is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Flemish Copywriter to join our growing team. If you're a wordsmith with a passion for crafting compelling narratives, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, creative environment, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you'll work closely with our senior copywriters, art directors, and strategists to develop engaging copy for a wide range of digital campaigns and platforms, specifically targeting Flemish-speaking audiences. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring copywriter to gain hands-on experience with a global leader in digital production.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of creative concepts and campaigns.
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for various mediums, including social media, websites, ads, emails, and video scripts, with a focus on the Flemish market.
  • Write clear and concise POS materials.
  • Ensure all copy aligns with brand guidelines, project objectives, and tone of voice.
  • Conduct research to understand target audiences, market trends, and client industries.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, strategy, and project management.
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
  • Learn and adapt to new platforms, technologies, and content formats.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and present ideas with confidence.
About the Role The essentials:
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong writing skills and creative potential (student work, personal projects, or published work are all welcome).
  • Native-level fluency in Flemish (Dutch for Belgium) is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Flemish and English.
  • A strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style in both languages.
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and translate them into simple, engaging language.
  • A keen interest in digital marketing, advertising, and emerging trends.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn from feedback.
Not a must, but a plus:
  • Experience with SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
