Description

Our Japan office is looking to hire a versatile Digital Producer to execute and lead the production of middle to large creative campaigns, which include TVC commercials, Online video & still / photography assets, social content, (Digital) Out Of Home and Digital Display content from pitch to press release. If you’re keen to work as part of a global team of Monks to produce integrated work for a world-class client, this job represents the sweet spot.

This hands-on role requires client-facing experience in digital production, digital video & still production and a thorough understanding of what is needed to make cutting-edge projects come about and what is needed to make great projects come off successfully.

What you’ll do
  • As a producer, you are a project’s pace- and peacemaker, and principally responsible for its timely-and-terrific delivery.
  • As the nexus between the idea and execution, you’ll work in close collaboration with our clients, who seek Monk’s expertise in the production of their digital projects and campaigns.
  • You set up new projects by responding to briefs and RFPs, leading pitches, treatments and production proposals.
  • Together with our creatives, you’ll help to shape these projects into a joint success by leading the production on our behalf.
  • Your role is to bring all of our in-house talent & and teams together and make sure great work is done across all levels of production.
  • Working at Monks means you get to produce projects that engage with new and innovative uses of technology that require you to lead the way on uncharted paths of production.
  • You'll be the interface between our Project Managers and Production Leads and our client's contacts. This is a crucial part of the role as client management requires attention to detail, planning, scheduling, and acting as the advisor/consultant to the client.
  • As a producer, you are also responsible for scoping and quoting projects as well as timing, planning & managing production work. You help to establish what gets done and make sure projects are profitable and doable.
  • You will be reporting to our local Executive Producer.
What you’ll bring
  • For this senior role, you need to have at least 5 years of client-facing experience working as a producer in digital advertising or creative production.
  • You need to be confident with producing a wide variety of digital projects, ideally covering video & still productions, e-commerce assets, Landing pages and websites, rich media assets
  • You have a network of local creative freelancers to tap in to for our projects and are up-to-date with the latest Film Directors, local Prodution houses & Photographers.
  • Your experience in a similar capacity has made you fabulous at dealing with stress and (stressed-out) clients.
  • You are capable of communicating both verbally and in writing in Japanese (business level), speaking a bit of English is a plus, but not a must.
  • Leading the production of multiple campaigns is no easy task and requires someone with superb planning and communication skills, as testified in your insanely good emails and communiques.
  • We need a true-born team player who can successfully work across teams, time zones and technologies.
  • Client management experience and is willing to be the liaison between the client and Monks.
