Why This Role Matters

The Senior Manager will ensure accurate and timely SEC filings while providing deep technical accounting expertise for complex transactions. You’ll own the accounting process for stock-based compensation and equity, guide adoption of new accounting standards, and develop global accounting policies that scale with our business.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy) including XBRL
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions: business combinations, leases, impairments, derivatives, commissions, and share-based compensation
  • Draft audit-ready technical accounting memos and conclusions under U.S. GAAP
  • Develop and maintain global accounting policies across business units
  • Own the accounting process for stock-based compensation and equity
  • Monitor, evaluate, and implement new accounting standards
  • Partner with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Investor Relations to ensure accurate disclosures
  • Support external auditors and maintain strong SOX/internal control compliance
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives with Workiva and NetSuite
  • Mentor and develop team members, building technical accounting capabilities
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; Master’s a plus
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public company SEC reporting and technical accounting; Big 4 experience preferred
  • Deep technical accounting knowledge in SaaS or technology: business combinations, leases, impairments, derivatives, commissions, share-based compensation
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing 10-K/10-Q filings
  • Strong understanding of SOX/internal control requirements
  • Experience with Workiva and NetSuite
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment

  • Process automation or data analytics applied to technical accounting
  • Experience leading change or building technical accounting teams

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
