About this role
We're looking for a thoughtful, systems-minded Product Designer with 3+ years of experience designing end-to-end product experiences for complex, data-heavy SaaS platforms, especially for non-data savvy users. You should be exceptional at UX, strong on flows and information architecture, and comfortable with AI-era design. Bonus points if you have experience designing analytics or financial products, familiarity with healthcare workflows (especially dentistry), or demonstrable skill creating component libraries with basic frontend literacy (TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui).
What you'll do:
Make our platform intuitive by designing for ease of use, ensuring users can find the data they need without extensive searching.
Design user flows that seamlessly transition from high-level metrics to detailed drilldown views, helping dental practice owners identify financial issues.
Design for proactive AI-generated insights, ensuring suggestions from our AI CTO "Finley" are surfaced clearly and feel trustworthy.
Create reactive designs that adapt to varying user types (single site practices to corporate groups) and user intent.
Drive design quality by bringing strong design principles and continuously improving our design processes.
Collaborate deeply with product, engineering, commercial teams, and clients, getting involved in product thinking, commercial goals, and user interviews.
Run scrappy research and usability tests, iterating based on signal to turn qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
Produce clear wireframes (ideally with Figma), beautiful UI, and production-ready design specs with components, tokens, and accessibility in mind. Build and maintain a coherent design system that scales across user types and device sizes.
Who are you?
2 - 12 years of experience consumer design experience
Salary £15K - £20K (Contract role - 3 months) - Currency Pound Sterling

About
At Medfin, we’re building the universal financial intelligence layer for healthcare. Today, healthcare spending is on an unsustainable path. Providers urgently need clear, actionable data to allocate resources effectively—but today they simply don’t have it. In the UK, if you ask a hospital finance team, “how much does it cost you to fix a broken leg?”, they typically can’t answer. It’s the same everywhere. In dentistry, practices often have no visibility into net margins or basic KPIs. Across healthcare, the chronic lack of financial clarity prevents meaningful improvement. So, why does this problem exist?
Healthcare data is fundamentally fragmented: Clinical data is locked in EHR or practice management systems. Financial data lives separately in accounting software like Xero. Transaction data sits in banks, accessed via Open Banking APIs. Invoices from labs and suppliers arrive via emails, PDFs, or paper documents. Manually stitching these together is complex, cumbersome, and error-prone—so most practices don’t attempt it. Existing FP&A and ERP tools aren’t built for healthcare’s unique needs.
This is where Medfin comes in. Medfin brings all these scattered data sources into one unified platform, automatically surfacing critical KPIs and insights—no manual work required. AI is the key unlock. Our technology extracts, categorises, and reconciles data from fragmented sources, instantly turning inaccessible or manual data into real-time financial intelligence. We’re starting in dentistry, but the same problem exists everywhere in healthcare.
Medfin aims to become the essential financial infrastructure underpinning healthcare globally—finally delivering the financial clarity, accountability, and efficiency the sector urgently needs.
