The App Engagement team plays a pivotal role in shaping how customers experience Mollie day-to-day. We're building delightful, high-quality mobile and web app experiences that keep our customers engaged and make managing their finances feel effortless.

As Mollie expands into a broader set of financial services, we’re looking for a UI Engineer who’s passionate about turning ambitious product and design visions into pixel-perfect experiences that ship fast and scale.

You’ll work closely with our design team to bring Mollie’s signature look and feel to life across platforms. This role is ideal for someone who’s obsessed with the craft — from smooth animations to subtle interactions — but also thrives in a fast-paced environment where shipping is in our DNA.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborating closely with designers and engineers to deliver beautiful, high-quality UI across mobile and web.

• Translating high-fidelity designs into clean, reusable React and React Native components.

• Building smooth, performant animations and gestures — especially on mobile.

• Helping us bridge the gap between mobile and web to ensure consistency across platforms.

• Working on shared design systems and component libraries to keep our apps cohesive and efficient to build.

• Shipping fast and iterating often — we move quickly and learn from real user feedback.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of experience building mobile & web applications using React and React Native.

• A strong eye for detail and a deep appreciation for great design.

• Experience working with design systems, animations, and advanced interactions in React Native.

• A collaborative mindset — you love working with designers to sweat the details.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate feedback and iteration with ease.

• A drive to ship fast and improve things continuously.

Nice to have

• Experience with gesture libraries and animation frameworks (like Reanimated, Gesture Handler, etc.).

• A background in design or previous experience in design-focused engineering roles.

• Contributions to or ownership of a design system or internal component library.

• Experience mentoring other engineers or helping teams level up their front-end quality.
