The OpportunityAs an Area Medical Director, you’ll oversee medical leadership and clinical development across Northern California, with potential expansion into other regions. You’ll directly manage a team of Lead Doctors and partner closely with Area Clinic Managers and cross-functional leaders to uphold the highest standards of care across all clinics in your region.
This leadership role is intended for alicensed veterinarian (DVM/VMD) with a passion for coaching others, driving clinical excellence, and practicing medicine in a field-based capacity.
Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Operations, you’ll coach, develop, and inspire veterinary leaders while helping Modern Animal grow responsibly. This is a field-based role — expect to spend ~80% of your time in-clinic, supporting teams and practicing medicine as needed.
What You’ll DoThis position may be based in California or Coloradowith regular travel required to clinics in Northern California and other regions as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $180,000- $231,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
