Role Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Designer to help us create intuitive anduser-friendlyproduct experiencesfrom brainstorming to delivery. We believe that design plays a crucial role in building useful, simple and trustworthy AI. You'll play a key role in shaping our vision and pushing the boundaries of what AI can bring to millions of individuals and businesses. You’ll work alongside designers, product managers, software engineers and research scientists to deliver experiences that transform how users interact with our technology.

What you will do

•Design end-to-end experiences for Le Chat, from onboarding to advanced features.

• Prototype, iterate, and ship—fast. You’ll be hands-on, turning ideas into tangible experiences.

• Collaborate deeply with research, engineering, and product teams. Clear communication and a low ego are key.

• Contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and craft (including

motion design) across Mistral’s products.

You're a great fit if

✔ You have

7+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that

shows explorations and delivered work. Experience with consumer-facing products (especially AI, chat, or social) is a plus.

✔ You’re

obsessed with craft—visual, interaction, and motion design. You know that great design is invisible until it’s missed.

✔ You’re

fluent in Figma, prototyping tools, and user-centered design, but more importantly, you know how to use them to solve real problems.

Additional Information

Location & Remote

This role is based in one of our European offices (Paris, France and London, UK). We will only consider candidates who either reside or are open to relocating there. We strongly believe in the value of in-person collaboration and we encourage going to the office as much as we can (at least 3 days per week) to create bonds and smooth communication. Our remote policy aims to provide flexibility, improve work-life balance and increase productivity. Each manager can decide the amount of days worked remotely based on autonomy and a specific context (e.g. more flexibility can occur during summer). In any case, employees are expected to maintain regular communication with their teams and be available during core working hours.
