Mission Operations Responsible Engineer/Scientist

📋 Description

• Lead planning, design, and execution of spacecraft ops.
• Own operations architecture and cross-team coordination.
• Automate spacecraft ops to increase capability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with science/instrument teams to maximize data.
• Shift work/on-call during critical mission phases; travel <10%.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in planetary science, aerospace, electrical, CS, or related.
• 5+ years in planetary missions with increasing ownership.
• Scripting experience (Python) for data analysis or ops.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
• Ability to reason across subsystems and decide under time pressure.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication: engineering, science, software.
