We’re looking for a senior engineer to join our Platform team and help reinvent how infrastructure gets built—using cutting-edge AI tools to move faster, build smarter, and scale with confidence. From evolving our cloud architecture to optimizing developer experience, you’ll be working on the systems that power every feature, workflow, and community on Mighty.

We’re pioneering a new way of building software—with AI integrated into every part of our engineering workflow—and we want platform engineers who are excited to lead that evolution.

• Own and evolve our platform and infrastructure to support high-scale, worldwide availability
• Design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across cloud infrastructure
• Streamline CI/CD, developer tooling, and automation—especially with AI-assisted workflows
• Use AI tools to accelerate implementation, refactor complex systems, and optimize performance
• Improve observability and reliability by implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems
• Build developer tooling that enable fast team iteration and real-world impact
• Mentor engineers and lead by example with clean, efficient, and forward-thinking code
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and bring the best ideas into production
• Participate in incident response to minimize customer impact and to address root causes

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including backend and cloud infrastructure
• Proficient in Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC framework), dynamically typed languages and cloud-native design
• Expert in container orchestration and IaC
• Strong track record of building scalable web and backend services, and resilient systems
• Experience working with database such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
• Experience with no-downtime upgrades of data tiers
• Familiar with modern observability concepts
• Experience using AI tools as part of daily work
• Excellent communicator with strong systems thinking and a collaborative mindset
• Bonus: Experience leading developer experience initiatives or platform engineering
• Bonus: Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Datadog, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Github Actions
• Bonus: Operational battle scars or a good downtime story to bring to the interview

Compensation: The base salary for this role ranges from $80,000–$140,000 USD, with exact compensation based on location, experience, and cost of living.
