You'll be embedded within one or two of the following functions—Marketing, Product Operations, Sales, or Support Engineering—becoming the talent architect who shapes how those functions grow by orders of magnitude.

You'll build teams from the ground up, serving as an evangelist for Meter's mission while designing recruiting processes that identify extraordinary potential in unconventional places. You'll have massive influence over team composition and culture.

What success looks like

In six months, you'll have built recruiting engines that consistently deliver exceptional hires who thrive at Meter.

Your primary measures of success will be:

  • Pipeline volume and hiring velocity: Significantly increase the volume of high quality candidates while cutting time-to-hire by 20%, maintaining an ≥80% offer acceptance rate.

  • Hiring quality: 6-month performance ratings for your hires consistently exceed or greatly exceed hiring manager expectations. You achieve 90%+ new hire retention through year one with hiring managers consistently sharing they would enthusiastically rehire these colleagues.

What your day-to-day will look like

As a full-cycle recruiter, you’ll own everything from designing search strategies, to building top-of-funnel, to closing candidates. Your workdays might include conducting a hiring intake meeting, mapping the market for one of your searches, sending cold emails to prospects, conducting a debrief with one of your hiring teams, and extending an offer.

Great work happens through sheer perseverance and doing the basics really well (e.g., following up one more time to a prospect you’ve been pursuing, finding a way to get an intro, shipping something personal to a candidate, etc.).

  • You've built recruiting processes that scale with fast growing businesses (maybe you took a startup from 20 to 200 people, or owned high-volume hiring at a growth company).

  • You’re an evangelist and steward of company culture.

  • You bring clarity and confidence to the hiring process, enabling your hiring partners to make decisions with a high degree of conviction.

  • You understand the compounding return an exceptional hire has on a company’s trajectory, and you work tirelessly to ensure hiring decisions reflect this.

Compensation 

  • The estimated salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000. 

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.
