Director, Business Development
Position Summary:
As the Director of Business Development, you'll be responsible for driving bookings growth and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to achieve this goal. You'll oversee the strategic direction, set objectives, and manage the Business Development function. Your role includes creating strategic opportunities to grow customers, markets, and partner relationships, defining initiatives to increase profitability, and creating value for the organization and customers.
Expected Duties:
Direct, manage, and supervise the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new partnerships and business opportunities that deliver long-term value and fuel the company's growth.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets. Continuously monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
Identify, develop, and implement growth opportunities to enhance the company's market position and financial performance.
Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calls, networking, partnerships, and online research. Establish strategic partnerships, collaborations, and alliances to expand the company's reach and customer base.
Explore and develop strategies for entering new markets, both domestically and internationally.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth through lead conversion and new business acquisition. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Preferred):
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established policies.
Ability to recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect multiple disciplines.
Ability to execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities, and workforce management.
Ability to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Ability to develop and manage operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.
Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peer group professionals, involving matters between sections and multiple units.
Responsible for partnering with key contacts outside your area of expertise and other external stakeholders.
Ability to effectively communicate and present results and recommendations across disciplines.
