With your help, we can go beyond!As Lead Visual Designer, you will be part of a team solving a unique problem, one that’s mostly untouched by other e-commerce players. We are making eCommerce accessible for Tier-2+ markets who are new to eCommerce and have almost never transacted online before. Our Design team is as diverse as our users. Today, the team comprises about 30 Designers -- including Interaction, Visual, Motion, and Content Designers.But wait, there’s more! We’re individuals who are obsessed with our users. We empathise. About the role

If you love designing, keeping users and creativity first, getting deep into the craft and enhancing user experiences, you may be our next Lead Visual Designer!As a Lead Visual Designer, you will ensure consistency and quality of visual communication across all our products by using and shaping our Design System. You will closely work with the Design team to understand our customers to create illustrations, iconography, design layouts and visuals for different value propositions on product, micro-transitions, and interactions that will help improve our product communication with our end users. Visual Storytelling, Transform ideas and concepts into visually stunning assets that inspire, inform, and resonate with our audience. In terms of execution, you’ll build, continually evolve and document Design Systems guidelines to support Designers and Engineers.

What you will do

Work closely with Design teams in defining, designing and evolving design components, patterns, templates, guidelines, and necessary toolingEnsure consistency, a high degree of UI craft, and leverage animation and motion design in products.

Develop influence and working relationships with front-end engineers

Create user-friendly mockups and promotional materials that effectively convey design concepts and enhance the user experience.

Actively mentor junior designers to enhance their skills, provide constructive feedback, and help them grow in their careers.

Ensure all design work meets quality benchmarks, including accessibility, brand compliance, and other industry best practices through regular reviews.

Guide end-to-end production processes, manage timelines, resources, and coordinate across multiple teams.

Maintain knowledge of current design trends and new tools, and help the team stay ahead of the curve.

Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and collaborate with other teams, such as developers and product managers.Be the benchmark for the quality of design deliverables, inspiring others to produce their best work.

Take on complex or time-sensitive projects to showcase your skills and show the team what quality looks like.

What you will need

Resume and a robust portfolio showcasing your diverse design work and creativityAbility to think creatively and to pay attention to detail

Deep understanding of platform-specific design patterns and Design SystemDeep understanding of design psychology, design patterns, and research methodologiesProficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Lottie, Rive and others

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a team and liaise with various stakeholders.

Strong understanding of web design and user experience (UX) principles.
