About the Team

Being part of Meesho's Fulfilment and Experience team as Head of ValMo will zip you to the cockpit of our ever-burgeoning rocketship, where you get to directly shape the experience of the country's next billion e-Commerce users.We are an eclectic mix of 100+ professionals with diverse skill sets ranging from running operations/support, supply chain know-how, analytics and the holy grail, first principles problem-solving.At Meesho, we are trying to do what's never been done before - taking e-Commerce to the masses. This leaves us with no choice but to completely reimagine logistics from the ground up, to cater to our customers' price and delivery expectations. That means a host of "zero-to-one" projects (takers, anyone?) to build a supply chain to change how folks think about e-Commerce not just in India, but globally.

About the Role

You’ll lead the overall charter of creating the first of its kind open logistics platform. Your responsibilities will include creating the Tech and Ops vision for ValMo, building the on-ground team to scale this network across India and identifying partners to join our ValMo network. You will be responsible for the cost and service metrics of the entire network.

What you will do

  • Build and own the overall vision for the team
  • Work with your product counterparts to co-own the product choices
  • Build a world-class ground ops and design team to manage the LAAP network
  • Lead the overall Network and Operations design for the network
  • Own service levels, cost and expansion of the network
  • Represent the overall Fulfilment and Experience Function in larger cross-function projects
  • What you will need

  • Postgraduate/MBA degree or graduate degree from premium institutes with 7+ years of experience
  • Experience in hiring and managing a distributed team
  • Ability to develop ‘first principle’ thinking and the ability to simplify problems into smaller units
  • Strong decision-making skills based on limited dataProven skills in building and scaling processes
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management
  • Experience of having managed supply chain vendors is an additional advantage
  • Experience with startups and fast-paced environments is an added advantage
