Mechanical Engineer, Soft Goods Manufacturing

📋 Description

• Support the shop floor to ensure uninterrupted production of high-quality parts.
• Execute design-for-manufacturability changes to improve production efficiency.
• Resolve manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team for design, fabrication, and assembly.
• Act as on-site design engineering contact for the efficient build of parts and assemblies.
• Own the design and development of soft-good components (parachutes, slings, blankets).
• Produce CAD and NX drawings in a rapidly changing environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or physics.
• 1+ years CAD experience (internship/extracurricular applicable).
• 1+ years hands-on design and development of mechanical components.
• Experience with design, analysis and building soft-good components.
• Leadership experience on an engineering or project team.
• Strong written and verbal communication; data-driven decisions.
