- Design and analyze solar array components from PV cells to integrated assemblies.
- Own solar array sub-assemblies and related tooling.
- Prepare technical design reviews and own production outcomes.
- Collaborate across GNC, Avionics, Operations, and Payloads to optimize outcomes.
- Provide design rationale via hand calcs and FEA where applicable.
- Create drawings, schematics, and specifications for purchasing and manufacturing.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 1+ years mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing
- Experience with solar array design or solar manufacturing
- Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred) and FEA
- Proficient in design of experiments and statistical process control
- Familiar with space flight materials and manufacturing processes
