Design mechanical integration for powertrain components (generators, turboshaft engines, batteries) on prototype aircraft
Create detailed metallic parts and assemblies for powertrain mounting and interfaces
Perform structural analysis and hand calculations to verify margins and load paths
Collaborate with structural analysts to meet strength, stiffness, and fatigue requirements
Coordinate with powertrain and airframe teams to ensure proper system integration
Own the prototype development process: requirements, design, BOM, procurement, assembly, testing

🎯 Requirements

5-15 years engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Exposure to integrating propulsion systems (turbofan, turboshaft)
Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks, NX)
Proficient in FEA using NASTRAN, ANSYS, or Abaqus
Fluent in GD&T and creating manufacturing drawings
