Mechanical Engineer II

📋 Description

• Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for exploratory prototypes.
• Create CAD models, drawings, prototype files, and documentation for rapid iteration.
• Select materials, finishes, and assembly methods balancing speed and cost.
• Apply DFM and DFA early for concepts moving toward production.
• Build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot physical prototypes with hands-on fabrication.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, DFM, DFA, and product teams to identify risks.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant mechanical engineering or hardware development experience.
• CAD proficiency and ability to create parts, assemblies, drawings, and production-ready files.
• Hands-on experience building, assembling, and testing mechanical prototypes.
• Strong understanding of tolerances, materials, fasteners, mechanisms, and assembly design.
• Experience applying DFM and DFA to hardware, including prototype-to-production transitions.
