Mechanical Designer

📋 Description

• Lead spacecraft mechanical subsystems from concept to flight production.
• Own subsystem-level mechanical design, analysis, integration, testing.
• Drive design decisions using first-principles engineering and simulation.
• Balance performance, mass, reliability, manufacturability, schedule and cost.
• Demonstrate compliance with requirements via analysis, testing, margins of safety.
• Plan prototype builds, environmental tests, and qualification campaigns.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in mechanical systems from concept through validation.
• Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics.
• Proficiency with CAD: Onshape, Creo, SolidWorks, NX.
• Experience with Simcenter 3D, NX NASTRAN, and Simcenter Space Thermal.
• Experience leading subsystem qualification and verification.
• Familiarity with ESA ECSS, NASA or similar aerospace standards.
• Design for manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test.
