Mechanical Design Engineer, Sustaining

📋 Description

• Lead mechanical design of high-power electrical assemblies (DCDC, chargers, controllers).
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, safety and manufacturing teams to optimize performance.
• Address propulsion challenges: thermal management, HV isolation, EMI, sealing, shock.
• Detail components: housings, brackets, insulation, HV connectors, fasteners.
• Analyze with heat transfer, thermal analysis, DFA, structural calculations.
• Lead prototype builds and design validation testing.

🎯 Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 4+ years of relevant Mechanical Design experience.
• Demonstrated ability designing a high-voltage electronic assembly from blank sheet to production.
• Strong mechanical design analysis in structural, thermal, heat transfer, materials.
• Strong 3D design experience, preferably with NX.
• Solid understanding of electrical design fundamentals.
