- Collaborate with aerothermal analysts to optimize ducts for performance and pressure drop
- Own design process from concept to production; requirements, CAD models, drawings, BOM
- Interface with suppliers to manage fabrication and resolve manufacturing issues
- Select and integrate COTS components (bellows, seals, clamps) as needed
- Develop verification testing strategies for ducts and qualification testing
π― Requirements
- 5-15 years of mechanical design in aerospace or propulsion
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience designing ducting, inlet/exhaust, or thermal management systems
- Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA) with sheet metal and complex surfaces
- Fluent in GD&T and creating manufacturing drawings for sheet metal and machined components
- Familiarity with Mil-Spec fasteners and aerospace hardware standards
