  • Design inlet/exhaust ducting for turboshaft engines and thermal management on aircraft
  • Collaborate with aerothermal analysts to optimize ducts for performance and pressure drop
  • Own design process from concept to production; requirements, CAD models, drawings, BOM
  • Interface with suppliers to manage fabrication and resolve manufacturing issues
  • Select and integrate COTS components (bellows, seals, clamps) as needed
  • Develop verification testing strategies for ducts and qualification testing

🎯 Requirements

  • 5-15 years of mechanical design in aerospace or propulsion
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience designing ducting, inlet/exhaust, or thermal management systems
  • Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA) with sheet metal and complex surfaces
  • Fluent in GD&T and creating manufacturing drawings for sheet metal and machined components
  • Familiarity with Mil-Spec fasteners and aerospace hardware standards
