We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Medical Director (MD/DO) to join our team. The role will focus on establishing and nurturing peer-to-peer relationships with key medical and clinical experts while playing a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of clinical content for MDCalc.
As the Medical Director for Clinical Content Development at MDCalc, you will be a central figure in our commitment to delivering high-quality clinical content that empowers healthcare professionals worldwide. This role requires a deep understanding of medical practice, strong connections within the medical community, and a passion for improving patient care through evidence-based clinical decision support.
The responsibilities of this individual include the following, but are not limited to:
Peer-to-Peer Engagement: Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with key medical and clinical experts, thought leaders, and opinion makers to ensure the continuous flow of expert knowledge to our platform.
Content Development: Collaborate with the MDCalc internal content team to create, update, and curate clinical content, including calculators, guidelines, and other resources.
Strategic Initiatives: Provide design and support for strategic initiatives, projects, and partnerships related to clinical content development and overall engagement of the MDCalc site.
Clinical Review: Act as a subject matter expert and participate in the clinical review of content products to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and adherence to best clinical practices.
Feedback Loop: Establish feedback mechanisms with key opinion leaders, along with internal stakeholders, to incorporate their insights and recommendations into our clinical content.
Internal Education: Support MDCalc’s Life Sciences team by educating them on various clinical scenarios, and by providing clinically relevant materials to aid them throughout their sale cycle.
Internal Training: Develop educational resources and provide training to internal teams on clinical content and relevant medical practices.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements related to clinical content development.
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Active medical license and clinical practice experience.
A strong network of relationships with key opinion leaders and medical experts within the healthcare community.
In-depth knowledge of evidence-based medicine, clinical guidelines, and medical literature.
Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Experience in content development and management is a plus.
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical accuracy.
